Neon FAQ
What is Neon?
Neon is a noble gas found on the Periodic Table of Elements under #10 & is red in color. It has many common uses, we use it for art making and continuing the craft of tube bending. The other common gas used is Argon, also a noble gas, which is blue in color. Different colors are achieved by tubes with a phosphor coating on the inside, and then filling the tube with either Neon or Argon, depending on the desired final color.
How Much Does neon Cost?
Our pieces start at $300. Examples of this would be a basic “OPEN” sign or a “Ciguaro” both of which can be seen in the Neon tab of the site.
Custom pieces are dependent on how much neon you want to incorporate and where/how the piece will be mounted. Our average range is $800 - $1200.
For text based pieces, prices start at $40-$60 per letter based on font style, plus mounting & installation needs.

Why Neon over LEDs?
Neon is ALIVE ! The way that we see Neon light is by an electrical current running through a perfect vacuum and exciting the molecules which bounce around and off gas the light we see. It is also the 5th most abundant element in the Universe ~ so when you have a piece of neon in your space, we like to say you actually have a small piece of the Cosmos. And while LEDs are less expensive, they pale in comparison to the light that Neon brings.
